Skyler Samuels chats with Access on the set of “The Nine Lives of Chloe King.” What has been her favorite part about this show? Plus, what does she think about doing all the crazy stunts? Is there a stunt that she would like to still that producer have said no to?

Skyler Samuels (Chloe) and Grey Damon (Brian) at Comic Con, where they talk about the big finale, their on-screen relationship and one big thing that’s going to happen in the finale.

Do you think Brian knows what his dad is really doing or not?

Grey Damon: Well, I know that Brian doesn’t. I think that’s a lot of what Brian’s story is about.

Skyler Samuels: I think Brian is definitely suspicious, though. Whitley is going through a big struggle on the show. He messed up. He made a mistake and he let people protect him. So by doing that, he made it harder to get a hold of me. Therefore, he’s on a personal vendetta. So, he’s nervous because he’s freaking out trying to get to Chloe King. So I think Whitley’s going to crack really soon. And the confrontation where Whitley confronts Brian and Brian finds out about Chloe, I think it’s all imminent.

Do you guys find it odd that in the gala scene where Whitley was standing right beside you and didn’t take the opportunity to kill you?

SS: He knows my name. The pivotal moment about that scene is I turn and I say, “Hi, I’m –” and he stalls. It’s that moment that saves my life. Because, if I had said, “I’m Chloe King,” I’m done. At the end of the season, you’ll see how all of the loose ends and strange looks all come together for a crazy explosion.

WE LOVE SOAPS TV recently spoke with Samuels about her career, her new show and her guilty pleasures.

WE LOVE SOAPS TV: We actually have two cats here at our midtown Manhattan offices, so this first one comes from them. Your character is described as having cat-like superpowers, and they would like to know if you, in real life, had those powers, which ones would you choose?
Skyler Samuels: You can tell the cats at the office I’m jealous of the claws. I wish I had claws, just because how cool would that be? But among my cat-like powers, I also would probably like to have super speed, just so I can get more done in a day. It seems like a much more practical superpower to me.

WE LOVE SOAPS TV: Would you share with us your guilty pleasure TV show?
Skyler Samuels: Oh, my goodness. My guilty pleasure TV show would have to be GLEE. I’m weirdly addicted to the show, and I couldn’t explain it to you if I tried. I’ve never been a big musical buff, or anything, but I find myself week after week, no matter what, tuning into Glee. So that’s definitely my TV go-see pleasure.

Can you tell us what we can expect this season?
Skyler Samuels: Well, this first season of THE NINE LIVES OF CHLOE KING is filled with adventures, thrills, romance, comedy and drama, and a lot of heartfelt relationships. There is nothing predictable about this first season. It’s filled with a lot of unexpected twists and turns, and it will leave you on the edge of your seat.

How did you become involved in the project?
Skyler Samuels:  I had an audition for this show back in the fall of 2010, and I went in and I just fell in love. I loved the pilot before, and I was just, I was just in love with the script. Chloe and I have so much in common. I could hear my own voice in the things she said and did.

And a super-embarrassing story—when I walked in on the audition, I introduced myself as Chloe. I was totally embarrassed because I accidentally said Chloe instead of my own name, but sure enough, they agreed, because here I am playing Chloe King, and I’m having the time of my life.

At the MTV Movie Awards, Skyler Samuels talked to StarCam‘s Jennifer Tapiero about her upcoming TV show, “The Nine Lives of Chloe King.” Though this video was uploaded last June, we know that you want more Skyler-stuff. Watch!

During a recent set visit, Skyler talked to Pop Culture Passionistas about her physical preparation for the role and what she’s truly like off screen.

Skyler admitted that prior to signing on to Chloe King she wasn’t very physically adept. “I couldn’t throw a punch, a kick. I had trouble running all before the pilot. And then everything got amped up when we came back. So at first it was like I was dying. There are so many training sessions where 400 jumps later on the jump rope I was like, ‘I can’t do it anymore.’ And [her trainer was] like, ‘Trust me. One day this is going to come in handy.’”

Needless to say the hard work has paid off. Skyler remarked, “Sure enough there are days I find myself hopping from building to building or kicking bad guys or punching villains in the face. And all of a sudden all those things have made sense and now I’m proud to say I’ve gone through Superhero Training 101 successfully.”

Some of her training has been focused on martial arts moves. Skyler admitted, “They’ve shown me like the basics of the basics. There was one episode where I ran off a pillar… I’m very impressed, but it’s really not that difficult. Meanwhile the guy who taught me how to do it did like four back flips and all this fancy stuff. And I’m like, ‘Yes okay, I’m not quite there yet but I’m working on it.’”
